Wayne Tarken

Wayne Tarken, MBA, SPHR - Senior Management Consultant - brings over twenty years of business and human resources experience as a Principal with the Human Resource Technology Group. Wayne works with business executives in developing human resource management, employee selection/retention, performance management, training & development and organizational effectiveness strategies.

He also specializes in the application of technology to human resources by developing management practices for the emerging electronic workplace, as well the people-side of technology.

Wayne is recognized as an outstanding leader and educator in the human resource profession. He was recently selected as President of the Tri-State Human Resource Management Association where his creativity, vision and leadership helped to revitalize the organization and make it the premier HR association in the region. He also serves on the faculty of the Fox School of Business at Temple University where he teaches Strategic Human Resource Management (MBA) and Internet-based organizational staffing (undergraduate).

A strong business and line orientation has helped him develop a track record of innovative human resource strategies with bottom-line results. He has worked with a wide variety of organizations in diverse industries including Coca Cola, Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Congoleum, Wharton School, ICI Americas, Genlyte/Lightolier and the Hospital of the University Of Pennsylvania. Using his experience in HR and technology, Wayne has helped two HR Internet startup ventures successfully come to market.

He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and serves on the National Human Resource Technology Management Committee and as the Society for Human Resource Management's New Jersey State Technology Chair. He was recently appointed to the Human Resource Certification Institute's (HRCI) Item Review Panel where his experience in competency development will be used to help shape the body of knowledge for the human resource profession.

He is a highly valued and dynamic speaker and presenter who appears at national and local conferences and programs to address the issue of people and technology. He recently developed the first-ever technology symposium that focuses on e' HR, HR management in a virtual workplace and strategies to manage the people-side of technology

Wayne graduated from Temple University with an M.B.A. in Human Resource Management and a B.A in Economics.
